  How to write a documentary script. Writing for film and documentaries are different, it is important to take this into consideration when writing the scripts. This is because Film relies more on the purpose and subject matter to entertain the audience while documentary are an accurate representation of real events or people in order to educate, inform or inspire the audience. How to write a documentary script Find the story you're meant to tell- What are you hoping to convey? why a documentary? why are you the right person to tell this story? These are questions you will probably be asked in the pitching part of your project. Taking time to reflect on them yourself will lead you to a story you're really passionate about.
