Focus group- Documentary first draft

What did I want to find out from my focus group?
Through my focus group, I  wanted People's opinions on what was good and what needed to be changed with my Documentary.
I wanted to understand the impact of my documentary on people's views to do with LGBT support.

My Focus group Questions

>How do you feel when watching the documentary?

>What do you feel the main themes of the documentary are?

>Has this documentary had an impact on you?
>Can you share your opinions on the Durham Sixth Form students' Interviews?

>Can you share your opinions on the Seaham High School students' experiences?

>Is there one thing in particular that you liked about the documentary?

>Are there any changes you would make to the documentary?

Reflection on Focus group
From The Focus group, I discovered that the viewers of my documentary were quite surprised by the lack of support some students had from their schools about being LGBT.

The group liked that the dsfs felt like they could be honest about their experiences in such a formal way and also show how they are getting support now from their friends and colleges.
The group all agreed that schools should follow in Seaham high schools footsteps in terms of LGBT acceptance.

The group felt like I could split up the interviews, either making them shorter or adding some b-reel footage in the middle of them as they felt too long in terms of other parts of the documentary.
